Beach Condo Remodel

We recently completed interior renovations to a great condo unit in the plantation.  We reworked the kitchen and laundry to make room for a wall oven and microwave.  New cabinets and a great backsplash really finish this area off. And what a difference in the master bath! We tore out the old drop in tub and deck surround and replaced with this great freestanding tub. The beadboard wainscoting matches the new beadboard cabinets. The blue color is great for an ocean condo … It seems to bring the ocean right on in!  Any time you can get rid of the old full plate mirrors and replace with individual framed mirrors you instantly have an upgraded look.  And look at the finished tile work in the redone shower …. This pebble tile on the floor feels fabulous on your tired and aching feet!

Joe’s Bistro Face Lift

We have completed our remodel at Joe’s Bistro! The look is all new – we opened up the downstairs dining room by removing the fireplace, added a 200 bottle custom wine rack, changed the main entrance (you now use the front door off South 2nd Street!), and gave a general face lift! New banquettes, new lights, paint, carpet and wood …. what a difference! Joe’s is now open for lunch 11-3, closed on Tuesday. Stop by and have lunch or dinner and let me know what you think.

Gather ‘Round the Fireplace

Every home needs a fireplace for the family to gather around. You can update your fireplace by using colorful tiles that accent the room or neutral-colored stone for a warm, natural feel.

The photos shown below are from past projects. Some are still in the construction phase, but show great ideas for how you can transform that special part of your home!

Add a Splash of Color!

Are you tired of your outdated bathroom? Consider adding a splash of color  with a unique design to really brighten up the room!

Before & After

My daughter, Heather, was here this weekend and took some “after” photos of our home transformation.  Looking at the “before” pictures reminds me of how much work we did and how wonderful the results are.  Each room was transformed into space that works perfectly for our family.  While some of the work “had” to be done, some other was a choice we made to truly make the home ours.  Three months of work  and I can picture Bob and I staying here for many years.  Downsizing is hard but with the motivation of knowing we will be traveling south to Tampa to visit Heather and Whitaker and north to Fort Mill, SC to visit our new grandbaby, Avery, along with Jennifer and Brad, this is definitely the right move for us!   A little vision and TLC (or DLC – Donna Lynne Custom Homes) turned this place into our “home”.

Final Phase: Bring on the moving truck!

We have been working hard to arrange all of the furniture, pictures, and decor to make our home complete, but wanted to share several photos of the finished product prior to move-in day. We hope to share a before and after comparison soon, so be sure to check back!

Granite Countertops

Choosing the perfect slab of granite can be a very challenging task. We spent many hours going to granite yards to select each piece to use in the bathrooms and kitchen. Below are pictures of the kitchen and bathroom countertops, which we think look perfect with the combination of cabinetry that we selected.

Custom Cabinetry

We are in the process of having a variety of cabinet styles put in throughout the house. We are also very excited about the custom designed pantry with drawers, spice racks, and plate displays. The master bathroom is coming along wonderfully, as well as the wood floors upstairs. This week granite countertops will be installed and the painting will begin! This stage goes by very quickly as all of the details start to come together to make your home a home again. Call today to discuss how we can give your home a DLC makeover!

Sheetrock is up!

This is one of the most exciting phases because you have all of the walls up and the house feels like a house again! Now we get to begin the creative phase of picking out tile, cabinets, wall colors, and decor that make it your own special place.  Stay tuned to see bathroom transformations soon!

Reframing the Masterpiece

We redesigned the layout of several rooms throughout the house for better use of the space. We have created a more open andinviting kitchen area that easily flows with the living room. We changed the layout in the master bedroom to allow for his and hers walk-in closets, while also enlarging the upstairs walk-in closets. The final major change came by relocating the guest bathroom to create a workout room next to the master bedroom.
